Merrill G. Burlingame (1901-1994) was a history professor at Montana State University. In 1956 the law firm of Wilkinson, Cragun, Barker and Hawkins retained his services as a historical researcher for their litigation against the United States government on behalf of Montana's Blackfeet tribe. Robin MacNab was born in Portland, Oregon on July 8, 1915. His parents, Robert B. and Melita Roberts MacNab moved to Missoula, Montana when he was in grade school. MacNab attended Shattuck Military School in Fairbault, Minnesota from 1928 to 1932 and received a B.A. in Home Economics emphasizing Hotel Management from Cornell University in 1936.
